# Learn Languages vs Elixir

The clearest difference is ads: Elixir at none against Learn Languages's shown. Elixir also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Learn Languages's advantage is ratings volume (7.1K vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Learn Languages sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Elixir sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Elixir holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Learn Languages has 7.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Learn Languages ships an update weekly, Elixir every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
