# Trak4 vs FamSync

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Trak4 at 50% against FamSync's 0%. Trak4 also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). FamSync's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 2.3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FamSync sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Trak4 asks for nothing beyond the download.

FamSync holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FamSync has 113 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Trak4's written reviews are positive against 0% of FamSync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Trak4 ships an update every 6 weeks, FamSync fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
