# VRV Athletics vs GRPPD

The clearest difference is ads: GRPPD at none against VRV Athletics's shown. GRPPD also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). VRV Athletics's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GRPPD holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VRV Athletics has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of VRV Athletics's written reviews are positive against 100% of GRPPD's.

VRV Athletics ships an update fortnightly, GRPPD every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
