# Flight Sim Tracker vs Flight Deck FMS

The clearest difference is rating: Flight Sim Tracker at 5.0 against Flight Deck FMS's 4.2. Flight Sim Tracker also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.5). Flight Deck FMS's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 7 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Sim Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Flight Deck FMS sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flight Sim Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Deck FMS has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Flight Sim Tracker ships an update every 7 months, Flight Deck FMS every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
