# Chipp vs SelfHive

The clearest difference is update cadence: SelfHive at every 3 days against Chipp's fortnightly. Chipp's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Chipp ships an update fortnightly, SelfHive every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on June 11, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
