# Actimate vs SideQuest

The clearest difference is rating: Actimate at 4.9 against SideQuest's 4.4. SideQuest's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 77%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Actimate sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and SideQuest sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Actimate holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Actimate's written reviews are positive against 100% of SideQuest's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Actimate ships an update weekly, SideQuest every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
