# WaveChat vs Debrief

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Debrief at 36 against WaveChat's 2. Debrief also leads on iOS requirement (16.2 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for WaveChat against 5.0 for Debrief. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Debrief has 36 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
