# Imgpls vs Axis

The clearest difference is rating: Axis at 5.0 against Imgpls's 4.3. Axis also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Imgpls's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Axis holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Imgpls has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Imgpls ships an update every 3 weeks, Axis every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
