# LibriVox Audiobook vs iVOX

LibriVox Audiobook and iVOX both sit at 3.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of iVOX's written reviews are positive against 30% of LibriVox Audiobook's. iVOX also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LibriVox Audiobook sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. iVOX asks for nothing beyond the download.

LibriVox Audiobook holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of LibriVox Audiobook's written reviews are positive against 67% of iVOX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
