# Arcarae vs First Light

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Arcarae at 199 against First Light's 2. Arcarae also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 67%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Arcarae sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and First Light sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

First Light holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arcarae has 199 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Arcarae's written reviews are positive against 67% of First Light's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Arcarae ships an update every 5 days, First Light every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
