# The Ultimate Premed App vs NextStep

The clearest difference is rating: The Ultimate Premed App at 5.0 against NextStep's 4.2. The Ultimate Premed App also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). NextStep's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Ultimate Premed App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NextStep has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
