# PASS SQE vs Exam Lab

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PASS SQE at none against Exam Lab's 10. PASS SQE also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 10 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exam Lab sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. PASS SQE asks for nothing beyond the download.

PASS SQE ships an update every 4 months, Exam Lab every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
