# Flexspeak AAC vs PECSTalk™

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flexspeak AAC at 100% against PECSTalk™'s 50%. Flexspeak AAC also leads on price (Free vs $99.00) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). PECSTalk™'s advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Flexspeak AAC is free to download; PECSTalk™ costs $99.00 up front. Flexspeak AAC sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. PECSTalk™ asks for nothing beyond the download.

PECSTalk™ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flexspeak AAC has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Flexspeak AAC's written reviews are positive against 50% of PECSTalk™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flexspeak AAC ships an update weekly, PECSTalk™ every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 5, 2026.
