# Focus Timer vs Remy Reminders

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Focus Timer at 80% against Remy Reminders's 0%. Focus Timer also leads on ratings volume (17 vs 1). Remy Reminders's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Timer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Remy Reminders sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remy Reminders holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Timer has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Focus Timer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Remy Reminders's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Focus Timer ships an update fortnightly, Remy Reminders every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on July 8, 2026 and September 7, 2026 respectively.
