# Massive vs Prune Screen Time

The clearest difference is monetization model: Prune Screen Time at freemium against Massive's subscription. Prune Screen Time also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Massive's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 4) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.5). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Massive sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Prune Screen Time sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Prune Screen Time holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Massive has 1.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
