# Yidio vs Media Base

The clearest difference is rating: Media Base at 5.0 against Yidio's 4.3. Media Base also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). Yidio's advantage is ratings volume (3.5K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yidio sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Media Base asks for nothing beyond the download.

Media Base holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yidio has 3.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
