# ArcamRemote vs Dirac Live

The clearest difference is rating: Dirac Live at 1.8 against ArcamRemote's 1.0. Dirac Live also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (24 vs 1). ArcamRemote's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 14%) and iOS requirement (5.1.1 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dirac Live holds the better App Store score, 1.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dirac Live has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of ArcamRemote's written reviews are positive against 14% of Dirac Live's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ArcamRemote ships an update every 14 months, Dirac Live every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
