# ArcamRemote vs KEF Connect

The clearest difference is rating: KEF Connect at 2.2 against ArcamRemote's 1.0. KEF Connect also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (154 vs 1). ArcamRemote's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 22%) and iOS requirement (5.1.1 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KEF Connect holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KEF Connect has 154 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of ArcamRemote's written reviews are positive against 22% of KEF Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ArcamRemote ships an update every 14 months, KEF Connect monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
