# FocusFlight vs Focus Planet

The clearest difference is monetization model: Focus Planet at freemium against FocusFlight's subscription. FocusFlight's advantage is ratings volume (9.4K vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 10 days). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FocusFlight sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Focus Planet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for FocusFlight against 5.0 for Focus Planet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FocusFlight has 9.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FocusFlight ships an update every 5 days, Focus Planet every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
