# Session vs skateable

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Session at none against skateable's 3. skateable's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. skateable sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Session asks for nothing beyond the download.

Session ships an update fortnightly, skateable every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
