# Friend Controls vs Delay

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Friend Controls at 630 against Delay's 105. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Friend Controls sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Delay sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Friend Controls against 4.7 for Delay. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Friend Controls has 630 ratings behind it against 105, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of Friend Controls's written reviews are positive against 87% of Delay's.

Friend Controls ships an update every 8 days, Delay every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
