# Flow AI vs PDF Scanner

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PDF Scanner at 90% against Flow AI's 41%. PDF Scanner also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Flow AI's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (446 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flow AI sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and PDF Scanner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flow AI has 446 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Flow AI's written reviews are positive against 90% of PDF Scanner's.

Flow AI ships an update every 2 weeks, PDF Scanner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
