# Heather vs Path

The clearest difference is monetization model: Path at free with in-app purchases against Heather's subscription. Path also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Heather's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Heather sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Path sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Heather against 4.9 for Path. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 146 and 66 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of Heather's written reviews are positive against 89% of Path's.

Heather ships an update every 2 weeks, Path every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
