# HEAVYPAINT vs Modulator

The clearest difference is rating: Modulator at 5.0 against HEAVYPAINT's 4.0. Modulator also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). HEAVYPAINT's advantage is ratings volume (66 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HEAVYPAINT sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Modulator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Modulator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HEAVYPAINT has 66 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
