# HEAVYPAINT vs Abstrakt

The clearest difference is update cadence: Abstrakt at every 3 days against HEAVYPAINT's every 6 weeks. HEAVYPAINT's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HEAVYPAINT sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Abstrakt sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HEAVYPAINT ships an update every 6 weeks, Abstrakt every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
