# Remove Objects vs PicTool

The clearest difference is update cadence: Remove Objects at every 5 days against PicTool's every 5 months. PicTool's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remove Objects sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and PicTool sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PicTool holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PicTool has 93 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Remove Objects ships an update every 5 days, PicTool every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
