# NoteX vs Instant Transcript

The clearest difference is rating: Instant Transcript at 5.0 against NoteX's 4.6. NoteX's advantage is ratings volume (726 vs 2) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteX sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Instant Transcript sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instant Transcript holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NoteX has 726 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NoteX ships an update every 8 days, Instant Transcript every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
