# Bookshelf vs My Libros

The clearest difference is update cadence: My Libros at every 2 days against Bookshelf's every 2 weeks. Bookshelf's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bookshelf sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and My Libros sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bookshelf ships an update every 2 weeks, My Libros every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
