# Prepper App Pro vs BugOut

The clearest difference is update cadence: BugOut at every 11 days against Prepper App Pro's every 6 months. BugOut also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prepper App Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BugOut sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Prepper App Pro ships an update every 6 months, BugOut every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
