# SugarWOD vs WheelPay

The clearest difference is rating: SugarWOD at 4.9 against WheelPay's 3.8. SugarWOD also leads on ratings volume (91K vs 13) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). WheelPay's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 51%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SugarWOD holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SugarWOD has 91K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of SugarWOD's written reviews are positive against 71% of WheelPay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SugarWOD ships an update fortnightly, WheelPay every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
