# Tuta Calendar vs PrivacyNotes

The clearest difference is rating: PrivacyNotes at 5.0 against Tuta Calendar's 4.6. PrivacyNotes also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). Tuta Calendar's advantage is ratings volume (161 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tuta Calendar sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and PrivacyNotes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PrivacyNotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tuta Calendar has 161 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tuta Calendar ships an update weekly, PrivacyNotes every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
