# Sentinel Shield dVPN vs Coden

The clearest difference is update cadence: Coden at every 3 weeks against Sentinel Shield dVPN's every 7 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sentinel Shield dVPN sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Coden sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sentinel Shield dVPN ships an update every 7 months, Coden every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
