# Face First vs synch

The clearest difference is rating: Face First at 5.0 against synch's 3.9. synch's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Face First sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and synch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Face First ships an update every 2 weeks, synch every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
