# Gas Stations vs Layer2

The clearest difference is update cadence: Gas Stations at every 3 days against Layer2's every 3 weeks. Gas Stations also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gas Stations sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Layer2 sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gas Stations ships an update every 3 days, Layer2 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
