# BeFreeVPN vs VP.NET VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: BeFreeVPN at free with in-app purchases against VP.NET VPN's subscription. BeFreeVPN also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2). VP.NET VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (145 vs 45). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BeFreeVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and VP.NET VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BeFreeVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 45 and 145 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of BeFreeVPN's written reviews are positive against 62% of VP.NET VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BeFreeVPN ships an update every 2 weeks, VP.NET VPN every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
