# Todo Math vs Speed Phonics

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Todo Math at 74% against Speed Phonics's 33%. Todo Math also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). Speed Phonics's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Todo Math sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Speed Phonics asks for nothing beyond the download.

Speed Phonics holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Todo Math has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Todo Math's written reviews are positive against 33% of Speed Phonics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Todo Math ships an update every 3 weeks, Speed Phonics every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
