# GRIP&SHOOT vs AutoShot Camera

The clearest difference is rating: AutoShot Camera at 5.0 against GRIP&SHOOT's 3.5. GRIP&SHOOT's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 16 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AutoShot Camera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GRIP&SHOOT has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GRIP&SHOOT ships an update every 3 months, AutoShot Camera every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
