# ScoreCat vs NinjaTrainer

The clearest difference is rating: NinjaTrainer at 5.0 against ScoreCat's 3.9. ScoreCat's advantage is ratings volume (97 vs 3) and chart position (#116 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScoreCat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and NinjaTrainer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NinjaTrainer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScoreCat has 97 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ScoreCat ships an update every 8 days, NinjaTrainer every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
