# iTV Remote vs NovaWidget

The clearest difference is rating: NovaWidget at 5.0 against iTV Remote's 4.1. NovaWidget also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8). iTV Remote's advantage is ratings volume (31 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTV Remote sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. NovaWidget asks for nothing beyond the download.

NovaWidget holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iTV Remote has 31 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of iTV Remote's written reviews are positive against 18% of NovaWidget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iTV Remote ships an update fortnightly, NovaWidget every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
