# Melonote vs Transcribe Voice Notes

The clearest difference is ads: Melonote at none against Transcribe Voice Notes's shown. Melonote also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Transcribe Voice Notes's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 63%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Melonote sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Transcribe Voice Notes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Melonote holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 43 and 125 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Melonote's written reviews are positive against 80% of Transcribe Voice Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
