# HabitPress vs Afterthought

The clearest difference is update cadence: Afterthought at every 5 days against HabitPress's every 3 months. HabitPress's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HabitPress sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Afterthought sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HabitPress ships an update every 3 months, Afterthought every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
