# FoxNotes vs JLPT Test

The clearest difference is update cadence: FoxNotes at every 2 weeks against JLPT Test's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FoxNotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and JLPT Test sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FoxNotes ships an update every 2 weeks, JLPT Test every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
