# Summary vs Faith Notes

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Summary at 55K against Faith Notes's 5. Summary also leads on review sentiment (72% vs 50%) and chart position (#17 vs unranked). Faith Notes's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Summary sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Faith Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Faith Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summary has 55K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Summary's written reviews are positive against 50% of Faith Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
