# Summary vs HiNoter

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Summary at 57K against HiNoter's 1K. Summary also leads on chart position (#17 vs #182) and review sentiment (72% vs 62%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Summary sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and HiNoter sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Summary against 4.8 for HiNoter. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summary has 57K ratings behind it against 1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Summary's written reviews are positive against 62% of HiNoter's.

Summary ships an update every 6 days, HiNoter every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
