# Summary vs SummarizeX

The clearest difference is rating: Summary at 4.7 against SummarizeX's 1.0. Summary also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (56K vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Summary sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and SummarizeX sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Summary holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summary has 56K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Summary ships an update every 6 days, SummarizeX every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
