# VidVid vs AppSaver

The clearest difference is price: AppSaver at Free against VidVid's $4.99. AppSaver also leads on update cadence (daily vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). VidVid's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (24 vs 1). On review sentiment, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

AppSaver is free to download; VidVid costs $4.99 up front. AppSaver sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. VidVid asks for nothing beyond the download.

AppSaver holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VidVid has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of VidVid's written reviews are positive against 73% of AppSaver's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VidVid ships an update fortnightly, AppSaver daily. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
