# Dogl Precalculus vs Test Prep

The clearest difference is rating: Dogl Precalculus at 4.8 against Test Prep's 3.5. Dogl Precalculus also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (34 vs 6). Test Prep's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dogl Precalculus sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Test Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dogl Precalculus holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dogl Precalculus has 34 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dogl Precalculus ships an update every 6 months, Test Prep monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
