# Security+ Test Prep vs Security+ Pro

The clearest difference is update cadence: Security+ Pro at every 3 weeks against Security+ Test Prep's every 3 months. Security+ Pro also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Security+ Test Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Security+ Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Security+ Test Prep ships an update every 3 months, Security+ Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
