# Tree Identifier AI vs Grass Identifier

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tree Identifier AI at free against Grass Identifier's freemium. Tree Identifier AI also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 9). Grass Identifier's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tree Identifier AI sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Grass Identifier sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Tree Identifier AI against 4.8 for Grass Identifier. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tree Identifier AI has 2.9K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.
