# Fluency vs Jolii

The clearest difference is rating: Fluency at 5.0 against Jolii's 4.3. Fluency also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (32 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fluency sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Jolii sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fluency holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fluency has 32 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fluency ships an update weekly, Jolii every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
